Ricky Blake

Ricky Darrell Blake age 65 of Chuckey, passed away January 14, 2023 at Johnson City Medical Center, after fighting a long courageous battle of eleven years with cancer.

Ricky loved hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and telling stories and playing with the grandkids. He worked at Shipbuilders and Miller Industries.

He is preceded in death by his parents Homer and Mildred Blake. Grandparents, Walter L. and Golden O. Andies. Aunt Edith Renner.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years Lana Kay Blake. Daughter India (Jesse) Carter. Stepdaughter Lisa Cox Burrow. Stepson Gregory (Rachel) Cox. Grandchildren, Dalton and Josh Burrow, Riley and Blakely, Bryce, Leora, Jayla, and Annalyn Cox. Aunts and uncles Masil Renner, Mitzi Dunn, Brenda Andies, and Teddy "Bud' Andies.

The family will receive friends Wednesday 4-7 pm at Jeffers Funeral Service at Afton. The funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Danny Ricker and Rev. Joey Tillery officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Zahnie McCaslin, Bubba Ricker, Tim Ragon, Dalton Burrow, Josh Burrow, Jesse Carter, Daniel "Doodle" McCaslin and Roger Nunley. Honorary pallbearers Danny Harris, Ronnie Ball, Bobby Underwood and Kevin Laws.
