Robert "Bob "Scott" Colyer, 67 of Midway Passed away, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 34 years, Cynthia "Cindie" Colyer (Greer) sons Robert "Bobby" Colyer II of Greeneville and Michael Colyer of Greeneville. Grandson Kyler Colyer,\nbrother William "Bill" Colyer of Baileyton, brothers-in-law Aaron Michael Greer of Horse Creek, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.\nBob was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Sally Colyer of Camp Creek, sister Sherry McAmis of Greeneville, brother James "Jim" Colyer of Morristown, mother and father-in-law Dave and Charlotte Greer, brother in laws David Greer of Jonesborough and Charles Greer of Horse Creek.\nBob was born in Detroit, MI and moved to Camp Creek when he was 17, he graduated from South Greene High School. Bob enlisted in the United States Marine Corp , he served our Country from 1975-1986. Bob worked for Minco for 15 years, and Premium Waters for 8 years.\nBob will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.\nSpecial thanks to Dale Strother, who served along of Bob in the Marines. Dale has a agreed to deliver Bob's Eulogy. Sherry Gentry has been a God send during our most difficult time, special thanks to Genitive Hospice for their excellent care of Bob.\nThe family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will follow at 8pm in the funeral home chapel with his Marine friend Dale Strother bringing the eulogy. The graveside service will be 11 am Friday at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
