Roy French

Roy E. "Bobby" French age 71 of Greeneville passed away at Morristown Hamblen Hospital Monday October 23, 2023. He was a mechanic all his life and retired from Magnavox. He enjoyed working on demolition derby cars for his wife and later for 2 of his children. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the CCU doctors and nurses. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Ramona French, 3 children Andrew French and Sierra, Briana and Terry Owens, and Amber and Wesley Rash, grandchildren Hailey and Storm Brockwell, Zoe French and Hannah, Abigail Rash, Kensley Rash, Parks Gibson, Kymber Gibson, great granddaughter Zola Brockwell, 3 brothers Dale Jones, Ronald Jones, and Joe Jones and several others he considered brothers. He was preceded in death by a son James French, uncle and aunt whom raised him Walter and Anne French. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm Friday at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service Downtown. The graveside service will be at 11am Saturday in Cross Anchor Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Malone officiating. It is requested that the family and friends meet at the funeral home at 10am Saturday morning to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andrew French, Terry Ownes, Pat Flannery, Sam Moorman, Darrell Hinkle, and Ray Shelton. Honorary pallbearers will be David Mathes, Dan Gwynne, Mike Keller, little Darrell Hinkle, Mike Ferguson, Lloyd Norton, and Mike Murdock.
