Ruby Irene Ricker, 93, of Greeneville, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at her home.\n \nRuby was born in Limestone to the late Ambrose and Maggie Pierson.\n \nRuby was the owner/operator of Ricker Cafeteria and Suburban Motel and Restaurant with combined involvement for 6 decades. She attended The Barn Church of God.\n \nShe is survived by her son: Paul and Pam James; grandchildren: Billy and Vickie James, Paula Cox, Patrick and Emilee James, Deanna Ingram, Debra and Cory Garland; 15 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; sister: Willie Hensley; several nieces and nephews; caregivers: Mary, Tommy, and TJ Gross, Chris, Saundra, and Lillie Cox.\n \nShe was preceded in death by her son: Cecil Walter James, Jr.; daughter: Wanda James; grandson: Dwayne James; granddaughter: Angela Brogan; brothers: Carl, and Calvin; sisters: Dorothy, Stella, Virginia, Thelma, Jackie, and an infant sister.\n \nThe family will receive friends Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 1-4PM at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will follow visitation at 4PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bobby Seaton officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Memorial Gardens.
