Ruth Smith

Ruth Ann Strickland Smith, 77, was born on May 16, 1945, and passed away comfortably at Life Care Center of Greeneville, Saturday, February 18, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Strickland, SR. of 29 years; late husband Ronnie Smith; Parents Katherine and Franck Martin; Sister Mary K. Martin; Brother John (Hawk) Martin; and daughter Christine Strickland.

She is survived by two sons - Charles (Crystal) R. Strickland and Robert B. Strickland, JR; daughter Tammy Hudson; daughter-in-law Debbie Strickland; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Ruth has lived in Greeneville since 2005. She previously lived in Bradenton, FL; Lake City, IA; and in Oxford Hill, MD where she was born and graduated high school. She worked as a Lab Technician in Florida and Iowa. In Greeneville she lived at Plaza Towers Apartments where she served on the PTO and participated in several activities. She is a born-again Christian and loved spending time in services for the Lord.

There will be a private memorial with family.
