Sandra Brown

Sandra Dawn (Ricker) Brown, 77 of the Ottway Community, passed away unexpectedly July 12th at The Waters in Kingsport, TN. She was a loving and proud mother and grandmother as well as an avid UT Sports Fan. Sandra was a labor & delivery nurse at Greeneville Community Hospital for several years, which she recalled often and fondly. She retired from North Greene High School cafeteria after many years. She was a devoted and faithful member of Romeo Methodist Church, where she played the piano for many years alongside her best friend, Karen Solomon.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Leighton Brown; parents, Raymond & Louise Ricker; and an infant sister, Rebecca.

She is survived by daughters, Leslie (Gary) Evans of Kingsport, Angelia of Greeneville; her son, Roy (Erin) Brown of Charlottesville, VA; and very special granddaughters, Jordan (Zak) Sabey, Annabelle and Brynn Brown.

The family will receive friends Monday from 5-7 pm at Jeffers Funeral Service downtown.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
