Selma M. Davenport, 76, of Baileyton, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center.\n \nShe is survived by her husband: Ronald R. Davenport; 2 daughters: Tina and Michael Rowland of Kingsport, Terri and Gaylon Taylor of Greeneville; grandchildren: Hannah Rhodes, Alexandria Rowland, and Carson Taylor; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law: Fred and Rosetta McLain of Baileyton, and Leonard and Jennifer McLain of the Lost Mountain Community; 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law: Glennetta McLain, Barbara and Hugh Broyles of Horse Creek, Nina and Larry Gross of the Woodlawn Community.; brother-in-law: James Davenport; several nieces and nephews.\n \nShe was preceded in death by her granddaughter: Jordan Rowland; parents: Lacy and Vergie McLain; 3 brothers: Wayne McLain, JT McLain, and Edd McLain; sister: Berdie Pitt.\n \nShe was a member of Zion UM Church, and was a manager at Mazer Corp.\n \nThe family will receive friends Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 4-7PM at Jeffers Funeral Service Downtown. The funeral service will follow visitation in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Greg Davis and Rev. Eddie Malone officiating. The graveside service will be held Friday, December 20, 2019 at 10:30AM at Zion UM Cemetery.
