Shelby Jean Pitts Obituary (1937 - 2019)

Shelby Jean Pitts, 82, of Greeneville, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 at her home. She attended Crossroads Church, and was retired from MECO. Shelby is survived by 2 daughters and son-in-law: Paula and David Caraway, Robin Thomas; 3 sons and daughter-in-law: Jeffrey and Crystal Pitts; Paul Edward, Jr. and Tammy Pitts, Jason S. and Kelley Pitts; grandchildren and spouses: Kim and Heath Pruitt, Christy and Brandon Sams, Jeremy Caraway, Heather Caraway, Josh and Shea Pitts, Kassie and Sam Lawson, Kaelan Pitts, Leelan Pitts, Rebecca Cannon; several great-grandchildren; special extended family: Martha Fannon, Bonnie Sauceman, Edward Pitts, Callaway Pitts, and Ashley Thornburg. She was preceded in death by her husband: Paul E. Pitts, Sr; son: Timmy Pitts; daughter: Tammy Pitts. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 1-3PM & 5-7PM at Jeffers Funeral Service Downtown. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, at 2PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Duggar officiating. Interment will be in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jason Pitts, Paul Pitts, Jr., Dustin Lawson, Jeffrey Pitts, Josh Pitts, Jeremy Caraway, Taylor Thornburg, and Tyler Trantham. Honorary pallbearers will be Kaelan Pitts, Leelan Pitts, and Terry Mack Dean.
