Stella Katherine Rankin Daniels born March 13, 1920 died October 05, 2022 at The Waters Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Johnson City, Tennessee. She was 102 years of age. Stella was a direct descendant of Greene County, Tennessee, Pioneer, David Rankin. She was the last survivor of Cyrus Theodore and Sarah Avvie Ownbey Rankin’s ten children. She was taught at the knee of her mother to love the Lord and to faithfully read her Bible, which she devoutly did many times over until the end of her life.\nStella married Fred J. Daniels on March 06, 1937 in Parrottsville, Tennessee. They were married 63 years before his death in 2000. Four children were born to their union: Louise Daniels Kiker, Fred R. Daniels (Colleen Crum), Mary Helen Daniels Gray (John B. Gray), and Thomas W. Daniels (Joyce Parvin). Three of these children and spouses survive Stella with much loved daughter, Mary Helen dying in 1986. In addition to her parents, her husband, a son-in-law, J.B. Kiker, a grand-daughter-in-law, Julie Gannon Gray, Stella was predeceased by nine siblings and their spouses.\nSurviving to cherish her memory are many nieces, nephews, sister-in-law Florence Long Rankin of Chattanooga, \nTN, and those special grandchildren Sheila Jennings, Brent Kiker, and Cindy Kiker Chapman all of Chuckey, John T. Gray of Foneswood, Virginia, Laura Michele Gray of Afton, Brad Daniels of Greeneville, and Bryan Daniels (Kimberly Graham) of Maryville, Tennessee as well as her prized great grand children Nathan, Jonathan, Jacob, Katie, and Emma Gray Wassenberg of Virginia, Jeff Jennings, Holly Chapman, Hannah Chapman Vaughn, Bradson, Sydney, and Haven Humphreys, and Thomas Graham Daniels, several great great grandchildren.\nA private graveside service will be in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.\nGrandsons and great grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
