Thelma "Jean" Richards

Thelma "Jean" Richards, of Greeneville passed away Thursday, December 4.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loved and cared for many other children in the community. When she was not caring for those around her you could catch her in the garden, watching Days of our Lives, and enjoyed watching and listening about wrestling. She also loved her trusty companions T-bone and Jake.

She is survived by her three children Lisa (William Collins) Richards, Cathy(Roy) Myers, Kelly (Crystal) Richards, her grand children Dj Ball, Hope Seay, Logan Richards, Kelsey Pryor, Hunter Ball, Tyler Myers, and her great grandchildren Hadlee Ball, Harper Myers, Garrett Ball, Kinley Seay, and Willow Myers. Her siblings Ruth Roberts and Carolyn Faye Hall, and her special friends Debbie Ottinger and Steven Ball.

She preceded in death by her parents George and Etta Mae Gillenwater, Her husband Marshall Richards, her mother in law Barbara Hughett, her siblings Phyllis Williams, Glenn Gillenwater, and Gary Gillenwater.

The Family will receive friends Monday from 11-1:30 at Jeffers Funeral Service of Afton. There will be a graveside to follow at Andrew Johnson National Cemetery at 2pm. The pallbearers are Dj Ball, Hunter Ball, Logan Richards, Tyler Myers, Nick Seay, and Eli Massey.
