Tommy Allen Gray, 54 of Bulls Gap, passed away Monday, October 16 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle. He was know for his love of hunting.\n\nHe is survived by his wife of 30 years, Pam Gray and son, Tatin Gray of the home; his mother, Norma Jean Gray of Mosheim; sister, Debbie (Eddie) Ripley of Mosheim; mother-in-law, Mary Caraway of Greeneville; sister-in-law, Tonya Bowman (Mikie Masters) of Chuckey; brother-in-law, Eric (Hallie) Caraway of Mosheim; nieces: Brittany Ripley, Bethany Huff, Brooke Ripley, Breann Ripley, Jessica Venable and Jennifer Pierce; nephews: Brett Bowman, Brent Bowman (whom he thought of as his own), Haden Pruitt, Ethan Caraway and Randy Ripley; great nephew, Braylynn Bowman, Bradley Bowman, great niece Nora Bowman, Aunts and Uncle, Linda Helen & Carol Dixon and Kathy Frye, several great-nieces and great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; special cousin, Robbie Frye; and special friends, Josh Thacker and Mikie Masters.\n\nHe was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Gray; sister, Cindy Venable; brother, Jimmy Dale; niece, Chasity Daniel; nephews, Chad Gray and Tyler Ripley; father-in-law, Donald Caraway; best friend, Roger Dugger; and great nephews, Gage Gray and Zachary Jones; Grand-parents, Robert & Velma Frye and Silas & Lucy Gray.\n\nPallbearers will be Brett Bowman, Brent Bowman, Ethan Caraway, Bryant Venable, Josh Thacker, Jayden Daniel, Randy Ripley, and Charles "Tater" Ripley. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Caraway, Haden Pruitt, James Daniel, Robbie Frye, Tyler Huff, Trent Frye, and Eddie Ripley.\n\nThe family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8pm and 11-1 Friday at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will be Friday at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Johnny Mitchell officiating. Graveside Service will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Mosheim.
