Walter Ricker, 80, of Chuckey, passed away at his home Thursday, February 17, 2022. He was born on June 17, 1941. He attended Friendship Church at Baileyton for many years until his health kept him home. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family. He drove a school bus for 38 years for Greene County Schools. He worked for the Rescue Squad for 50+ years. \n\nHe is survived by his spouse: Nancy, daughter and son-law; Teresa Bain and Frank Witt; son and daughter-in-law; Bobby Ricker and Lori Pitt; grandchildren: Brandi Schuck, Jasmin Bain, Matt Ricker, Robbie Hotze. Sisters Ruth Painter and Christine Wallace. Special friend J.R Statton. Several great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Several other special friends.\n\nHe was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years: Nora Johnson Ricker; son: Jimmy Ricker; father and mother: Bruce & Elizabeth Ricker; brothers Earl Ricker, Alvin Ricker.\n\nThe family will receive friends from 4-7 at Jeffers Funeral Services at Afton on Thursday, February 24, 2022. The funeral will follow at 7pm with Rev. Eddie Malone and Pastor Bob Simpson. The graveside service will be at 11AM on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
